Mopping
A mild dish soap is a surprisingly good floor cleaner. All that is needed is 1-2 tablespoons of dish soap mixed in with a bucket of water. Floors will be clean and shiny in no time at all.
Stain Removal
Some of the most difficult to remove stains are oil based stains. For these tough chores, dish soap is one of the best stain removers out there. Gently rub dish soap into the oil stain before washing in the hottest water that is safe for your fabric type.
Surface Cleaning
Many regular surfaces in your home can benefit from using dish soap as a cleaner. Mild dish soap works well on countertops, baseboards, windowsills, and many more surface types.
Appliances
Small or large...appliances need cleaning often. A great go-to cleaner for most appliances is dish soap. Kitchen appliances including microwaves, toasters, blenders, griddles, ovens, cook tops, refrigerators and more are perfect candidates to be cleaned with dish soap. But other appliances in your home like, washers, dryers, freezers, and more may benefit from the mild but thorough cleaning ability of dish soap.
Patio Furniture
Dish soap may not seem like a tough enough cleaner to tackle outdoor grime and grit, but for many types of outdoor patio furniture, dish soap is your best bet. Try using dish soap to clean luminum, plastic, and wrought iron patio furniture.
Blinds
Blinds were my nemesis as a child. I hated taking down the blinds and getting them cleaned. It's still not my favorite chore, but with all my experience, I've found that dish soap is one of the best choices to get blinds clean.
Glass Cleaner
Diluted dish soap can be used to clean glass surfaces. I find that diluted dish soap is the best cleaner to use on really dirty glass. I will often use diluted dish soap to thoroughly clean glass before going back over the surface with a glass cleaner to shine up the glass. If you are using a squeegee with your dish soap on glass, the extra step of glass cleaner may be unnecessary.
Kitchen Cabinet
Kitchen cabinets that have been neglected are a big chore to clean. Oils from the kitchen mix with smoke, dust, and other kitchen grime to make a thick layer of sticky grit on kitchen cabinets. Dish soap and regular wipe downs are your first line of defense against this buildup.
Dusty Ceiling Fans
When it comes to a dirty ceiling fan, sometimes a good dusting doesn't do the trick. Dish soap can remove even the toughest dirt and dust from your ceiling fan blades without damaging wood or painted surfaces.
Dishes
Of course, the old standby for dish soap is washing our dishes. Dish soap works so well on dishes because of it's mild grease fighting power. Dish soap is also known for rinsing cleanly away. While other cleaners can get your dishes clean, dish soap is the most effective cleaner.
